Multi-tab recording

Some applications open links in a new tab or pop-up window. CloudQA can record any tab that is opened from the initial tab.

Record across tabs

1. Open an application that has links that open new tabs.
2. Start recording.
3. Select a link that opens in a new tab.
4. A notification confirms you were directed to another tab and shows that tab’s index.

Conditions

• Tabs must be linked. CloudQA doesn’t record a direct jump from one tab to another. The new tab must be opened by a link on the current tab or window.
• Forcing a switch pauses recording. If you switch to another tab by hand, recording pauses.
• Move back and forth between linked tabs. Each recorded tab has an index.
• Close and reopen windows. Add a SwitchToWindow or Close Window step. See Edit steps.
