Preferences
Preferences set the conditions under which an application’s test cases run. They apply only to the application where you change them.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Base URLs | For an application with several landing pages, add each URL and map it to a URI scheme. The base URL should be the page where recording starts. |
| URI scheme | The scheme mapped to each base URL. HTTP is the default. |
| Screen resolution | The browser window size during a run. |
| Locale | The language the browser uses. |
| Element timeout | The longest time CloudQA searches for an element before a step fails. The default is 5 seconds, and you can extend it up to 90 seconds. |
| Step delay | A pause applied at the application level, so you don’t need a wait on every step. |
| Capture screenshot | On by default. When off, CloudQA captures screenshots only for failed steps. |
| Lighthouse metrics | Adds Lighthouse audits to your runs. See Lighthouse metrics. |
Capture screenshot
Section titled “Capture screenshot”CloudQA stores a screenshot of every step by default. Turning the setting off makes runs faster, and screenshots are then captured only when a step fails. See Slow execution.
