Run in multiple environments

Many teams run their application at several URLs, for example:

• Production: http://www.test.com
• Staging: http://stage.test.com
• Development: http://dev.test.com

You record a test once and run it in every environment. CloudQA lets you override the base URL of a test or suite when you run it.

Set up environments

1. Add the URLs your application uses. See Application details and Environments and HTTP auth.
2. In Preferences, set the base URL to the environment where tests should run by default. This overrides the URL stored in the test case.

Choose the environment when you run

• For a test case: use Custom Execute and choose the environment.
• For a suite: create a test suite, then run it on demand in a chosen environment or schedule it against one.
